What is TÜV Rheinland Certification?
TÜV Rheinland is Germany's largest product safety and quality certification body. It is a German government-recognized inspection agency and a leading certification body alongside FCC, CE, CSA, and UL. All products sold in Germany must undergo TÜV certification to meet safety standards.
The purpose of TÜV application safety standards is to prevent personal injury and property damage caused by various hazards that may arise during the use of household appliances, machinery, and automobiles. These hazards include electric shock, overheating or fire, mechanical hazards, radioactive hazards, and chemical hazards.
Furthermore, companies can apply for a CB certificate concurrently with the TÜV mark application, thereby obtaining certificates from other countries through conversion. Moreover, after product certification, TÜV Germany will recommend these products to rectifier manufacturers who inquire about qualified component suppliers; during the whole-machine certification process, components with the TÜV mark are exempt from inspection.

Household appliance regulations worldwide are based on the IEC standard IEC 60335. Among these, European standards are most similar to international standards.
European standards are divided into two main parts: Part I, EN60335-1, provides general requirements for household appliances; Part II, EN60335-2, specifies particular requirements for various types of household appliances, containing dozens of clauses.

TUV Certification Factory Inspection
Initial Factory Inspection
Before the factory inspection, the factory needs to prepare the following documents:
- Company Organization Chart
- Quality Control Department Organization Chart
- QC Personnel and Key Personnel Training Records
- Quality Control Flowchart
- Production Flowchart
- Product Change Flowchart or Document
- Incoming Material Inspection Documents
- In-Process (Production) Inspection Documents
- Outgoing Inspection Documents
- Equipment Management Documents (e.g., calibration certificates, equipment ledgers, etc.)
- Non-conforming Product Control
At the inspection, TÜV engineers will review the documents and conduct an on-site inspection, and will also communicate with your company.
Annual Factory Inspection
The required documents and inspection process for the annual factory inspection are basically the same as the initial factory inspection. However, the annual factory inspection must include a product conformity check. The factory must submit the documents required for the conformity check; specific requirements can be found in the factory inspection user manual.
